Type of jewel: Vintage 1930s Art Deco diamond and sapphire bar brooch Condition: In well-preserved condition, especially given the jewel`s age. Style: Vintage 1930's Art Deco Era: ca. 1930 Material: 18K yellow gold and details in white gold or platinum (touchstone tested) Diamond(s): Ten single cut (also called English-cut, 8-cut or 8/8, a sort of simplified brilliant cut) with an estimated weight of ± 0.30ct. (colour and clarity: J/L, si/i). Twelve rose cut. - When we provide weights, colour grades, and clarity of diamonds, these are approximate unless otherwise stated, as we do not remove diamonds from their settings to preserve the integrity of the piece. - We understand that private buyers may expect diamond weights to be provided, but in the case of rose-cut or senaille diamonds, this is simply not standard practice among industry professionals specialising in antique and vintage jewellery. Unlike brilliant-cut diamonds, where weight correlates with diameter, rose cuts vary in thickness, making weight estimation impossible once set. Even major auction houses like Sotheby’s and Christie’s rarely list their weight, except for exceptionally large stones, where diameter is often provided instead. - All diamonds, regardless of their size or shape, in our vintage and antique jewellery are verified as 100% natural by the IJGC laboratory. This item has not been tested for such treatments. - All gemstone weights are approximate, as the stones are not removed from their settings to preserve the integrity of the piece.
