Brooke (Rupert) John Webster & Elizabethan Drama, pp.269-72 opened roughly with resultant tearing, upper joints split, 1916; Collected Poems, first 3ff. including portrait detached along with tissue-guard, hinges weak, 1918, first or first English editions, initialled presentation inscriptions to Cathleen Nesbitt from Edward Marsh to front free endpapers, original cloth, extremities chipped and worn, rubbed; and another, later printing of The Collected Poems, 8vo (3) *** Inscribed in the month of publication by Brooke's literary executor, sponsor and first biographer, Edward Marsh, who had introduced Brooke to Nesbitt at a party in 1912. Marsh's memoir of Brooke appears at the start of the Collected Poems.
