A compulsive and spontaneous creator, Bruno Cantais lives in Lyon and explores several techniques, ranging from abstract expressionism to Rauschenberg or De Kooning, to matter projections in the style of Georges Mathieu, to Pop Art collage or the expressionism of Karel Appel, straddling the boundary between abstract gesture and figurative representation. Yet his signature remains this physical painting, this material worked with the body, a testament to the artist's intimate monologue.
