Statue depicting Buddha meditating, in teak wood, in the lotus position (Padmasana) with hands in Dhyana Mudra (the gesture of meditation and concentration with hands overlapped in the lap), in a style inspired by Thai or Asian aesthetics, decorated with red, black and gold details and small colored accents. Teak wood, an exceptionally prestigious choice for this type of sculpture, being a noble solid material naturally resistant to humidity and time, confirms the authenticity and value of Thai or Southeast Asian craftsmanship. This statue was hand-carved and subsequently finished with polychrome lacquers such as red and black, enriched with gold leaf details and inserts of colored glass to enhance the Buddha's robes. Dimensions Height 53 cm x width 30 cm x depth 13 cm Weight 4 kg
