Vol. 6: Birds. 6 volumes, large octavo, half green morocco bindings, smooth spines adorned with gold-ruled lines, with two leather losses in two volumes. 782 + 775 + 726 + 784 + 653 + 732 pp. Bindings very solid. Very little foxing and mainly on the text. Plates in excellent condition of freshness, except a few rare plates browned uniformly but with colors still vivid. Very good interior condition. Portrait of the author in the frontispiece, 115 superb color plates and 5 geographical maps.
