A varied collection of five polished Burmese amber specimens containing numerous fossil insects and botanical remains. Among the most notable inclusions are a clearly visible ant, several beetle-like insects, small winged insects and additional arthropod remains. One specimen contains a comparatively large, well-preserved insect, while the rounded piece presents a rich assemblage of organic material, plant fragments and multiple inclusions. The amber ranges from pale lemon yellow to warm golden tones and has been individually shaped and polished to improve transparency. Several anatomical details, including legs, antennae, segmented bodies and wing structures, can be observed under magnification. Burmese amber, also known as Burmite, originates from northern Myanmar and dates to the mid-Cretaceous period, approximately 99 million years ago. Each piece preserves a unique fragment of an ancient forest ecosystem. Natural particles, botanical material, flow lines, internal fissures, air bubbles and minor surface irregularities may be present and are characteristic of fossil amber. The measuring tape shown in the photographs provides an indication of scale. The sale includes all five specimens pictured.
