Bus 2017 Bourbon Barrel b

The selected region features the distillery tube packaging for BUS Whisky, an artisanal, sustainable Dutch brand produced by an organic, single-estate distillery located in Loosbroek, Netherlands. About Batch 5 Batch #5 of this Single Malt, Single Cask, and Single Estate release was bottled in late 2020. Like its counterpart bourbon-aged expressions, each bottle from this early series was personally signed by Master Distiller Marcel van Roessel. Production & Flavor Profile • Packaging Design: The distinctive deep blue, marbled label artwork on both the tube and the bottle is based on a cyanotype creation by Amsterdam artist Sanne van den Elzen. The artwork is a visual mapping inspired by the soil layers of the local Peelrandbreuk (Peelrand fault). • Maturation: The spirit is distilled from estate-grown barley and aged for a minimum of 3 years in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks. • Flavor Profile: Standard bourbon-matured expressions from BUS present prominent notes of warm grain, malt, hay, and rich caramel on the nose. The palate brings forward butter, vanilla, young oak, and light floral tones, which slowly transition into sweet orange, fresh figs, and bittersweet chocolate. A collaboration between Brewdog Distilling Co and Zuidam distillery in the Netherlands, Torpedoed Tulip is a single rye whisky released as part of Brewdog's Boilermaker series. It is a fruity, spice whisky, with notes of citrus, apricots, rye spice and a bitter edge. Flavor Profile: Notes of fresh rye bread, chocolate, cinnamon, oak, citrus, and dried apricots.
