Dimensions: 50cm x 50cm x 6cm Morpho Didius - The Blue Giant Morpho The Morphos or Morphidae are a relatively small family of butterflies comprising about 80 species in total, all confined to the neotropical region. The incredible quality of the intense wing reflection of this Didius species is structural and therefore does not degrade when exposed to light for long periods. All Morphidae species have developed a series of eye spots or ocelli on the lower surface of the wings, which, combined with their dull appearance on the lower surface, can act as camouflage in the jungle.
