(402–450) Solidus Obverse (Avers): D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG, behelmeted and armored bust of Theodosius II slightly turned to the right; in the right hand a spear, in the left a shield decorated with a rider depiction. Reverse (Revers): VOT XXX MVLT XXXX I / CONOB, Constantinople to the left on a throne, with the foot placed on a ship’s prow; in the right hand a cross globus, in the left a sceptre, the elbow resting on a shield; to the right in the field a star.
