Follis (Bronze, 31mm ,12.7 g), Class A2, Constantinople. +EMMA-NOVHΛ/ IC XC Bust of Christ Pantokrator facing, wearing cross nimbus with a hollow square in each arm, his right hand raised in blessing and holding book in his left. Rev. + IҺSЧS/ XRISTЧS/ ЬASILЄЧ/ ЬASILЄ in four lines; square ornament above and below. DOC A2.47. SB 1813. Fine portrait of Jesus Christ. The arrangement of dots and squares in limbs of the nimbate cross of Christ is certainly a remarkable attribute of this anonymous follis.
