Ca. AD 800 - 1000. A circular gold openwork pendant centred by a cross with arms composed of small globules. The cross is enclosed by two bands of granulation separated by a plain wire border. The broad suspension loop at the apex is edged with beading. Size: 25mm x 19mm; Weight: 3.3g Provenance: Private London collection of an art professional; acquired on the UK and European art markets between 1980s to early 2000s.
