Ca. AD 500 - 700. A silver ring with a broad hoop and a large flat bezel nielloed with a Chi-Rho monogram, formed from the first two Greek letters of Christos, Chi and Rho. Size: D:17.73mm / US: 7 1/2 / UK: O 1/2; Weight: 9.9g Provenance: Private London collection; formerly in a UK ancient art collection (early 2000s); previously in the G.M. collection before 1996.
