Del Barrio is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist whose work lies between contemporary Cubism and figurative abstraction. Initially trained in the Arts, she has developed her career as a painter alongside her international career as a classical singer. Her artistic language explores identity, emotion and transformation through colour, imperfect geometry, line and symbolism. Her figures, often fragmented, simplified or hybridised, move away from literal representation to create images that remain open to different interpretations. Her work combines structure and spontaneity, recognisable forms and abstraction, with particular attention to gesture, balance and expressiveness. Faces and figures do not seek idealised perfection, but rather aim to convey presence, character and emotion.
