Elegant female alabaster bust from the late 19th century, sculpted, signed C. Goffard, depicting a young woman with delicate features, styled in an antique coiffure. The piece features beautiful natural shades of cream white and powder pink, particularly visible on the clothing. The veining and tonal variations of the alabaster add great depth to the sculpture and delicately emphasize the different volumes. The bodice is adorned with a sculpted relief rose, while the face and neck are treated in white, luminous alabaster. The whole rests on an elegant white alabaster pedestal. Signature “C.
