(C) SMITH & WESSON MODEL 42 AIRWEIGHT DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER WITH BOX. Referred to as the Centennial as introduced in 1952 and produced through 1974. The L prefix was used from 1971 through 1974. Built on the 4-screw J-alloy frame with pinned barrel, concealed hammer, 5-shot, blue finish, case color trigger with silver medallion smooth walnut grips and a grip safety. Comes in matching number blue box with paperwork. CONDITION: Excellent. Near new with light drag line and minute handling only. Grips are excellent. Strong case color on trigger, mechanically sound with a bright bore.
