Vanity mirror or barber’s mirror, table mirror with a tilting mirror mounted on a support featuring a fold-down storage compartment. The object is composed of two main parts: The tilting (swing) mirror: It has a wooden frame shaped with soft lines, fixed to the side uprights via two metal pins with a key-operated handle that allow you to adjust its tilt. The storage base: It presents an inclined top that opens by folding down, with a contoured front edge. The object can be dated to the second half of the 19th century (late 1800s), with a style that echoes the sober, functional lines of the Louis-Philippe period, while maintaining an artisanal, typically Italian craftsmanship. Cherry wood or walnut. Beautiful color and patina.
