Cabinet - Walnut - CANTIERO. ETOILE

The piece depicted in the photo is a prestigious high-end Italian cabinet/sideboard in fine woodwork, specifically the Étoile model by Cantiero. Structure and Configuration Type: Horizontal storage cabinet (sideboard) for living room or dining room. Doors: The front features a contiguous three-door opening (or two large doors with internal drawers depending on the internal configuration in the Étoile catalog). Frame: A substantial perimetral molded frame in a “portal” style encloses the entire front cavity, giving depth and a monumentally neoclassical look. Base: It sits directly on the floor on a continuous plinth that is slightly inset from the cabinet body. Materials and Finishes External Structure: Made of noble solid wood (national walnut) with a warm dark brown tone and a semi-gloss finish that highlights the natural horizontal grain of the wood on the top and sides. Door Fronts: The true focal point of the piece is the hand-planed central panel, characterized by an artistic raised-relief carving. Artistic Finish: The geometric and abstract bas-reliefs of the panels are enhanced by a patinated real silver leaf finish, creating a clear and refined color contrast with the dark wood of the frame. Style and Aesthetic Context Style: Contemporary classical / Reinterpreted Neoclassicism. It merges traditional Veneto craftsmanship with modern geometric decorative motifs. Details: The doors are without visible protruding handles (push-pull opening or hidden groove) to avoid interrupting the continuity and visual impact of the carved work on the silver leaf.
