Cabinet - Walnut - CANTIERO. ETOILE

The piece of furniture depicted in the photo is a prestigious sideboard/credenza of high Italian cabinetry, specifically the Étoile model from Cantiero. Structure and Configuration Type: Horizontal display cabinet (sideboard) for living room or dining room. Openings: The front features a three-door opening (or two large doors with internal drawers depending on the specific internal configuration in the Étoile catalog). Frame: A strong, perimeter, moulded "portal" frame that encloses the entire front opening, imparting depth and a monumental appearance with clear neoclassical inspiration. Base: Sits directly on the floor on a continuous plinth that is slightly inset from the cabinet body. Materials and Workmanship External Structure: Made of precious solid wood (walnut) with a warm dark brown tone and a semi-gloss finish that highlights the natural horizontal grain of the wood on the top and sides. Door Fronts: The real focal point of the piece is the centrally hand-planed panel, characterized by artistic relief carving. Artistic Finish: The geometric and abstract bas-reliefs of the panels are embellished with a patinated real silver leaf finish, creating a distinct and refined chromatic contrast with the dark wood of the frame. Style and Aesthetic Context Style: Contemporary Classic / Revisited Neoclassical. It fuses traditional Veneto craftsmanship with modern geometric decorative motifs. Details: The doors are without protruding handles (push-pull opening or hidden groove) to avoid interrupting the continuity and visual impact of the sculpted surface on the silver leaf.
