The knobs and the upper turned elements shaped like arches were a classic feature of secretaries, bookcases with desks, and nightstands produced by Italian carpentry workshops between the late '50s and the '70s. The starburst/diamond veneer inlay on the drawer: The wedge-cut veneer work on the front of the drawer with a central wooden knob is typical of postwar cabinetmaking and Italian furniture makers (very common in the 1960s). The turned legs: The slender turned style ending in a cone fully reflects the mid-20th-century furniture fashion. Italian production in a classic/retro style inspired by Directory/Empire or Victorian tastes. Size: 72x45x38 cm. This little cabinet is not just a functional object, but a small piece of history that awaits only to bring a touch of sweetness and period style into your home.
