Caimi Brevetti - Ashtray - Raro Modello da Tavolo...

Add an authentic piece of Italian industrial design history to your desk or living room! This patented desktop ashtray, produced by Caimi Brevetti in the 1970s, represents the perfect union between aesthetic elegance and pure mechanical functionality. Characterized by a squared structure with rounded edges, the object blends the warmth of the perimetral leather-colored coating with the mirror-like shine of the upper lid in chrome-plated steel. The real magic lies in its patented pressure-swing mechanism: a simple touch of the finger on the central flap makes the cap rotate, dumping ashes and cigarette butts into the sealed cavity and repositioning instantly to completely isolate smoke and odors. With its clean lines inspired by Space Age / Mid-Century, it is not only a functional accessory but a true kinetic desk sculpture, perfect to complete a vintage or high-representation interior. Founded in 1949, Caimi Brevetti is one of the historic names in design and technical furniture accessories in Italy. Famous for the ability to combine invention patent and aesthetic care, the company has collaborated with the greatest designers and has earned prestigious international awards, including three ADI Compasso d’Oro Prizes. The item bears clearly visible factory stamping "Caimi Brevetti - BREVETTATO" on the inner body, guaranteeing its originality and collectible value. Desktop accessories in steel and leather produced in Italy in the 1970s are experiencing a moment of strong rediscovery in the mid-century market. Finding a Caimi Brevetti piece with intact chromium plating and a fluid, responsive swiveling mechanism is an unmissable opportunity for collectors and lovers of author-made Made in Italy.
