Reverse: “ROYAUME DU CAMBODGE · 50 SEN · 1959” with the value in Khmer at the center surrounded by a vegetal crown. - Grade: MS65 (NGC). 50 Sen coin with a richly detailed design and strong symbolic charge, where the obverse shows a ceremonial altar framed by complex decorative elements inspired by traditional Khmer style, highlighting the fineness of the engraving. The reverse presents a more orderly composition, with a legend in French and the value in Khmer surrounded by a well-defined laurel crown. The specimen is in excellent condition, with intense original luster, clean fields and sharp reliefs, showing only minimal contact marks. Issued during the Kingdom of Cambodia, it reflects a period of cultural affirmation and balance between local tradition and Western influences in the mid-20th century.
