Candelabrum Gilded in ormolu - Gilt bronze - Triangular base

Elegant neoclassical bronze candelabrum made by the lost-wax casting technique, distinguished by its refined craftsmanship and its extraordinary ormolu gilded finish, which gives it a warm glow and a notable decorative effect. The piece presents a slender, balanced structure, articulated by a turned baluster-profile stem with successive moldings that reveal the influence of classic models. At the top sits the cylindrical candle holder accompanied by a circular, slightly raised-edged catch dish. It rests on a distinctive stepped triangular base, finished at each vertex with small spherical supports that provide stability and elegance to the whole. The sober geometry of the base, coupled with the purity of the architectural lines, fully reflects the aesthetic ideals of late 18th-century neoclassicism. The ormolu gilding retains a bright golden lustre that highlights the volumes and details of the work, giving it a distinguished and noble appearance. The harmonious combination of smooth surfaces and turned moldings adds visual rhythm and compositional balance. A representative piece of the cultivated, refined decoration of the era, intended for both religious and domestic settings, ideal for integrating into collections of decorative arts, antique furniture, or classic-inspired interiors.
