A charming and decorative pair of candlesticks shaped like two mirror-image, sitting frogs with mouths wide open. The frogs hold with their forepaws a goblet-shaped candle holder (suitable for a standard dinner candle) in a playful manner. The backs and sides of the frogs feature a detailed relief texture that accentuates the frog's skin. The contrasting bright green verdigris patina in the deeper areas gives the pair a lively, classical appearance. Very solidly cast and heavy in weight.
