12-person coffee service in maiolica ceramic, hand-painted by the prestigious Cantagalli manufactory in Florence, an excellence in 20th-century ceramic art. The set stands out for its characteristic polychrome decoration inspired by the Tuscan landscape, with architectural views, farmhouses, towers and cypresses painted within small figurative cartouches that animate every element of the service. The shapes of the cups and tableware, slightly curved and ribbed, recall the Italian Renaissance maiolicas, reinterpreted according to the historical taste that made the Cantagalli Florence manufactory famous from the late 19th century to the early decades of the 20th. The decoration is enriched by delicate vegetal motifs in ramina green and ochre yellow, while the profiles are highlighted by a thin green border that lends elegance and uniformity to the whole. The coffee pot, with slender lines and a lid topped by a knob shaped like a fruit, forms the centerpiece of the composition and bears witness to the manufactory’s attention to execution quality and decorative taste. The entire service expresses the charm of Cantagalli artistic productions, renowned for their ability to reinterpret Italian ceramic tradition with high painting and craftsmanship quality. In excellent condition, small flaws due to artisanal production. One cup shows a slight chip at the base. The photographs reflect the actual condition of the object and are an integral part of the description. Very rare item.
