Rare FIAT Dashboard Clock “Metron” – S.A. Officine Piemontesi (4 Days) | To Be Revised Description of the Lot A piece of exceptional historical-motoristic and collecting interest: an authentic vintage dashboard clock branded FIAT, produced by the renowned S.A. Officine Piemontesi (Via Parma 29, Turin) with Metron movement and a 4-day power reserve. This splendid vintage accessory represents the functional elegance of cars and vehicles of yesteryear, a class detail unmissable for enthusiasts of Italian historic motoring, restorers of vintage dashboards, or collectors of on-dashboard watchmaking. Technical Specifications Brand: FIAT / Metron (S.A. Officine Piemontesi, Turin) Type: Dashboard/Plancia clock (Power reserve: 4 Days) Diameter: 9 cm Depth: 5 cm Weight: 350 g Condition and Operation Appearance: The item presents in its charming original state, with a beautiful patina on the metal case and a legible, characteristic white dial, adorned by the original logos clearly visible. Mechanical Operation: The winding wheel correctly winds the mainspring, proving the barrel is intact. Pulling the crown, the time-setting operates smoothly and correctly. Note: The clock is currently not running. The balance wheel and gears require a technical intervention for revision and professional cleaning/lubrication due to likely resolidification of the old internal lubricants. An ideal restoration project within reach of any watchmaker or advanced hobbyist, which will return this splendid instrument to its former splendor. Tracked shipping and careful packing.
