Carcharodontosaur - Fossil tooth - Carcharodontosaurus

Impressive Carcharodontosaurus tooth, a genuine fossil from one of the largest predatory dinosaurs to ever walk the Earth. 100% natural tooth, not restored. Consolidated in situ with specific products prior to extraction to preserve its integrity, following standard paleontological practice Carcharodontosaurus, whose name means “shark-toothed lizard,” lived during the Cretaceous period (approximately 100–94 million years ago). It was a massive theropod dinosaur, comparable in size to Tyrannosaurus rex, known for its long, serrated teeth designed for slicing through flesh. This fossil tooth shows the classic blade-like shape typical of the species, with natural enamel texture and visible serrations, making it a remarkable collector’s piece. Each tooth is unique, formed and fossilized over millions of years. The fossil from the Arte Terra collection has been paired with a solid wood display base, custom-made to enhance its beauty and scientific value. On the front surface of the base, a laser-engraved naturalistic illustration depicts the prehistoric animal to which the specimen belongs, reconstructed in its original environment. In the bottom right corner, the “Arte Terra – Fossil Mineral Design” logo is featured as a guarantee of authenticity and artisanal craftsmanship.
