This is a very high-quality copy, very faithful to the Dolci model, with an excellent rendering of flesh tones and gilded embroidery. It is a subject sought after by collectors of Italian Baroque-inspired painting. Oil on canvas, exceptional quality: 54x42 cm. Signed on the back L. Biagi Attributed to Luigi Biagi, a Florentine painter active at the end of the 19th century, specializing in copies of old masters, notably Carlo Dolci. ( the original work kept in the museum is of the same dimensions within a few centimeters ) The work is in very good condition, oil on canvas; signs of age craquelure are to be noted Certificate of authenticity will be provided to the purchaser.
