Carlos MIlanes - Hidden faces II

Hiding Face I | Hidden Faces Description of the work Hiding Face I is part of the series Hidden Faces, a collection of contemporary portraits where the human figure is transformed through color, material and abstraction. In this piece, the face appears partially hidden beneath spontaneous brushstrokes and an intense overlay of colors and textures. The painting plays with the boundaries between the recognizable and the unknown, inviting the viewer to build their own interpretation. A small-format work that concentrates the expressive force of a larger-scale painting.
