Carpet - 347 cm - 247 cm - Indo-Bidjar carpet

A rich dark red inner field and a striking central medallion define the design of this hand-knotted Indo-Bidjar wool rug. Small blossoms, leaves and tendrils spread across the surface and invite you to discover the pattern in detail. The elongated, geometric medallion sets a clear focal point with blue-gray and cream accents. The graduated contours of the red inner field distinguish it from the darkly patterned corner areas. A wide border with curved ornaments and several narrow accompanying bands frames the composition. Beige and sand tones connect the individual pattern areas and complement the strong red. With its generous dimensions of 347 × 247 cm, this rectangular Oriental rug is especially suitable for furnishing a large seating area in the living room. It reveals its classic effect with warm wooden furniture and upholstery fabrics in cream, beige or gray. In a simply furnished environment, its detailed drawing becomes the focal point.
