Item: CARTER'S INX Fountain Pen, jade green mottled celluloid with gold fittings, ring-top model and side-lever filler Length: 11 cm Diameter: 1 cm Nib: F Period: 1920s–1930s (Carter's Ink Co. produced fountain pens between 1924 and 1932) Materials: Body and cap in jade-green mottled celluloid, black finishes and gold-plated fittings (two rings on the cap, hanging ring and lever filler), section in black ebonite and 14k gold nib engraved "Carter's INX Pen 14K" Condition: Good condition for its age; the celluloid retains good shine and the jade veining is clearly visible, with micro-scratches and slight darkening typical of use and the passage of time, a small pinpoint hole in the body and slight wear to the gold on the cap rings and on the lever. Nib intact and well aligned.
