Casket - .800 silver - table snuff box

Antique silver desk humidor with a noble crest (circa 1900). • Manufacture: Probably crafted by the renowned silversmith Kalman Lilchitz (master mark “KL” in a lying lozenge). • Magnificent engraving: Very finely engraved crest, flawlessly preserved on the lid. The motif shows an upright lion with a raised curved sword on a triple mount, repeated as helm ornament above a noble crown, framed by baroque acanthus foliage. • Interior: Two-parted solid wood lining (cedar or mahogany), traditionally for humidity regulation of tobacco products (humidor/cigarette box) or ideal as a luxurious jewelry box. • Exact dimensions: 17.0 cm x 11.0 cm x 5.0 cm (representative table model). • Total weight: 566 grams • Condition: Age-appropriate excellent collector’s condition with original noble patina. The engraving is sharply etched and not rubbed; the hinge closes well and flush.
