Antique black wood violin case – brass fittings & red lining – decorative, circa 1900 Atmospheric antique wooden violin case, presumably from around 1880–1920. The black finish, the old brass fittings, and the striking red interior lining make this case a characterful decorative piece. Equipped with a metal carrying handle, clasps, a small lock, and a small storage compartment with a lid. In the compartment there are two violin strings with old paper wrappings, including a package labeled Melodia. These are included. Nice to display open or closed in an antique, country, or industrial interior, for example on a table, cabinet, or in a music corner. The case shows clear signs of age and use: wear to the black finish, a crack in the lid, and local damage to the interior lining. The key is missing; the functioning of the lock has not been tested. The clip closure works properly. A charming item with a lived-in appearance. Offered without violin or bow.
