A circa 1930 Central Arms Co. 20 gauge single barrel shotgun. The frame marked Central Arms Co., St. Louis, U.S.A., the barrel marked PROOF TESTED 20 GAUGE, 2 3/4 INCH CHAMBER and SELECTED FORGED STEEL. Break open action, walnut stock and forend, later ventilated recoil pad. Central Arms Co. was a trade brand of the Shapleigh Hardware Co. of St. Louis, a wholesaler that had its guns built by Crescent, Davenport and Stevens. With two 28”L bbl. SN AL0693. T- 986
