Centrepiece - Trinket

Originally, this type of jardinières were used on large dining tables or sideboards to display flower arrangements, as a luxury bonbonnière or sugar bowl. Also called a grape bowl to elegantly present grapes. It is also perfect for storing jewelry and other decorative items on a dressing table. The brass or copper frame is openwork decorated with figures and is supported by 4 legs. The handles are fanciful sea creatures or dragons. The cobalt blue thick-walled glass inner bowl has a scalloped edge all around. No chips. On the edges there are a number of rough spots.
