Vintage Japanese Moriage Dragonware vase – Hand-painted – Made in Japan – ca. 1930–1950 Special vintage Japanese vase, crafted in dark ceramic with a very richly decorated **Moriage dragon**. The vase is hand-decorated with a detailed dragon in relief, combined with gold-toned and colored paintings. The raised relief decoration is characteristic of Japanese **Moriage Dragonware**, where decorative elements are applied on top of the surface. The base bears the mark **“MADE IN JAPAN”**, an export marking widely used on Japanese ceramics in the first half of the 20th century. **Specifications:** * Type: Japanese Dragonware / Moriage * Material: ceramic * Height: **ca. 9.5 cm** * Decoration: hand-painted dragon and gold-colored details * Origin: Japan * Mark: **MADE IN JAPAN** * Dating: **circa 1930–1950** The piece features a striking dark background, richly worked relief decoration, and many hand-painted details. Especially the combination of the **moriage technique and dragon decoration** makes this an interesting collectible. The vase is in a **good vintage condition**, with normal signs of use and age.
