Chair (4) - Walnut - Mid-century vintage

Set of 4 Mid-Century chairs – bentwood & black faux leather – circa 1960-1970 Quantity: 4 armchairs / dining chairs Era: second half of the 20th century Estimated dating: circa 1960-1970 Style: Mid-Century Modern / modernist, Scandinavian-inspired Materials: wood and molded/bent plywood, black faux leather, metal elements Wood: probably walnut, with solid wood legs Colours: warm brown and black Dimensions per chair: H. 71 × W. 52 × D. 42 cm Condition: very good overall with normal signs of use on the wood. These chairs are distinguished by their beautiful modernist silhouette, combining a warm-toned wooden structure with an elegant black faux-leather upholstery. The backrest work is particularly aesthetic: the bent wood elements wrap around the seat and naturally form the armrests. The rear part features a graphic construction with visible metal fasteners, characteristic of modernist furniture from this period. The tapered, slightly inclined legs add lightness and elegance to the set, while the padded seats and backs offer good comfort. The construction is robust and stable. The contrast between the warm brown wood and the black faux leather gives these four chairs a lot of character. They will fit perfectly around a dining table, in an office, or in a vintage, contemporary, or Mid-Century interior. The set is in very good general condition considering its age, with a few minor signs of wear and marks on the wood consistent with normal use. One chair has a small stain on the seat’s faux leather, to be cleaned, clearly visible in the photographs. Detailed photographs are part of the description and allow you to assess the overall condition of the set. Dimensions of each chair: 71 cm height × 52 cm width × 42 cm depth. Fast and careful shipping, thank you
