All auctions / Lighting / Chandelier - Metal - With pendants and flowers

Grand and scenographic Italian chandelier, presumably mid-20th century, circa 1950s-1960s, characterized by a rich metal framework with a gold/bronzed finish, numerous faceted transparent pendants and porcelain floral elements. The circular structure is finely decorated with friezes and vegetal motifs and features many sinuous lamp-holding arms, embellished with metallic leaves and small porcelain flowers in pink and white tones. The composition is particularly rich, with numerous transparent faceted elements of different shapes and sizes, originally arranged on multiple levels along the arms, forming a dramatic cascading light display. Conditions: The chandelier shows evident signs of aging and requires repair/restoration work. Most of the small translucent rosettes/decorative elements show cracks, chips or missing parts. Several pendants have also detached over time due to the breaking or deterioration of the small metal wires/hooks used to support them. The recovered detached pendants have been kept and will be delivered together with the chandelier, so they can be reinstalled by replacing the related hooks or wires. Given the large number of decorative elements present, it is not possible to guarantee the original completeness of all pendants. There may therefore be additional missing elements beyond those detached and stored separately. The metal structure shows patina, oxidation, variations in gilt and normal signs compatible with age. The porcelain elements should also be considered in the visible condition shown in the photographs. The chandelier was lit and functioning at the time the photographs were taken. Considering the object's age, it is nevertheless advisable to have the electrical system checked by a qualified technician before installation and use. Maximum diameter: about 74 cm. The photographs are an integral part of the description and show in detail the state of conservation. Please examine them carefully before bidding. To ensure the safest possible transport, the pendants and the most fragile and/or already detached decorative elements will be removed from the structure, carefully packed separately, and supplied together with the chandelier. The arms will also be dismantled and packed carefully. The subsequent reassembly will therefore be the buyer's responsibility. Given the object's age and fragility, the original completeness of all decorative elements cannot be guaranteed.
