Impressive vintage medieval historical chess set with alloy bronze/metal figures representing "The Reconquista" and the clashes between Christian and Muslim troops of the Late Middle Ages during the Crusades. This lot includes a spectacular structure (pyramid-base shaped) made of various materials with beautiful drawings on all its sides. On its top there is a handsome wooden board, which on one side can be used to play chess, and on the other side provides protection for the board. Because this main board has defects (it is scratched), the lot also comes with a new wooden board from Cayro brand, 40 x 40 cm (see photos). Moreover, the chess includes a complete set of 32 metal pieces highly detailed, representing the Christian and Muslim factions. These pieces range between 6.5 and 8 cm. The pieces are perfectly protected and placed in a purpose-built structure, and they are stored inside another larger structure. The chess has small supports on its four bottom corners to prevent damage to the base. Both pieces are in very good condition although the housing structure shows slight marks (see photos). There is one pawn with a different base (see last photo) although the pawn itself is the same. Ideal for collectors, as well as historians or chess enthusiasts. The lot will be properly packaged, insured, and shipped with tracking number. There is an option to pick it up in person in Toledo, the capital of Spain.
