Spectacular and exclusive handcrafted Italian chessboard refined in olive wood with turned chess pieces made of lead. The chessboard stands out for the spectacular natural grain of the olive, with knots and organic patterns that make each piece unique. The warm tones of the wood and the natural contrast of the squares confer the lot a strong decorative character, typical of mid-20th-century Italian craftsmanship. The chess pieces feature a classic and essential line, well proportioned for the gaming table and pleasant for both display and daily play. It consists of 2 drawers to store the chess pieces. All original antique item in good condition for its age. A collection jewel. See the photographs to get a better idea of the details that form part of the description.
