Set of 3 Chinese Pekin rugs – Bedside mats – Never used – 1960s–1970s We present a precious set of three Chinese Pekin rugs, traditionally used as bedside mats. These pieces were purchased and later stored, never actually used. Their excellent state of preservation is clearly evident in the photographs. Made 100% by hand, in wool on cotton, they feature a beautiful traditional floral design in cream, pink, green, blue and burgundy tones. Period: 1960–1970 Origin: China – Pekin Material: wool on cotton Measurements: * Large rug: 133 × 59 cm * Rug: 124 × 53 cm * Rug: 124 × 53 cm The three pieces retain their protector on the underside. They are in excellent, unused condition, somewhat notable given their age. Both the top and bottom sides show that they have been stored and well preserved. They are clean and ready to place and use, with no prior cleaning required. Please examine carefully all photographs, both of the top and bottom sides, as they form part of the description and allow you to appreciate their magnificent state of conservation. A very beautiful and hard-to-find set of three unused antique Pekin rugs, stored for decades in excellent condition.
