Yuan Shih-kai's "Tall Hat" as a Gold Fractional Fantasy CHINA. Fantasy "Tall Hat" Gold 50 Cents, ND (ca. early-mid 20th Century). PCGS Genuine--Scratch, AU Details. K-Unlisted; KMX-M1281; WS-Unlisted. A VERY RARE and no doubt seldom encountered fantasy issue, this type channels Yuan Shih-kai's "tall hat" coinage, in which he is depicted in a military-style uniform complete with plumed shako atop his head, but as an off-metal gold "50 Cents" denomination. Some scattered scratches are observed, but do not overly interfere with the pleasing eye appeal that the toning has created. Estimate: $10,000 - $20,000. Estimate:£4,530.69
