Turki Dialects; Narratives of the Prophets, first editions, text in English and Turkic, mimeographed pages folded and stitch bound, handwritten title page, molding to covers and upper page edges of Dialects short tears and creases, soiling, housed in custom drop-back boxes, 8vo, Tihwafu Sinkaing, China Inland Mission, 1918/1916. *** A pair of scarce mimeographed titles printed in Turki in limited numbers by explorer and missionary, George W. Hunter. Hunter produced the works on older mimeograph machines, due to the lack of access to other printing methods. They contain examples of the various Turki dialects via translations of popular religious texts as well as distinctions between different language groups.
