China Peking Aubusson - Rug - 200 cm - 140 cm

We present a precious Beijing rug inspired by Aubusson, made between 1970 and 1980. Its elegant design combines a powder-green background with a wide cream border, decorated with roses, leaves and ornamental motifs. In the center stands a refined floral medallion that adds balance and character to the whole. It is woven in wool on cotton using the hand tufting technique. The pile is fixed to the back with a special compound and protected by a textile lining, which perfectly preserves its function and stability. The rug is in very good condition with virtually minimal wear. * Origin: Beijing, China * Style: Aubusson floral * Era: 1970-1980 * Technique: hand tufting * Material: wool on cotton * Back: fixed with a composite compound and protective textile lining * Dimensions: 200 x 140 cm * Main color: powder green * Condition: very good condition A light cleaning is recommended to remove dust!
