A Chinese silk embroidery with Pekinese knot stitch, 19th century Qing Dynasty. (probably from a piece of clothing.) The edge is done with gold thread in the couching technique. The condition needs attention; here and there the thread has loosened causing holes to form. See photos. Sits in a carved wooden frame with flowers. The embroidery is attached to reinforced cardboard. Frame dimensions are H 38 - B 27.5 - D 1 cm.
