CHINA. Silver 1/4 Dollar (25 Cents) Pattern, ND (1910). Tientsin Mint.

Engagingly Hued Late Imperial Minor Pattern CHINA. Silver 1/4 Dollar (25 Cents) Pattern, ND (1910). Tientsin Mint. Hsuan-t'ung (Xuantong [Puyi]). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, Unc Details. L&M-26; K-221; WS-0038; Wenchao-100 (rarity: ★★★). A VERY RARE minor pattern that we have not offered often in the past, this specimen does exhibit some cleaning across both sides, with some hairlines evident. Nevertheless, it otherwise remains without any evidence of wear across even the highest points, with some alluring burnished toning observed nearer the peripheries. An intriguing type in which the denomination in English is rendered as "1/4 DOL." Estimate: $10,000 - $20,000. Provenance: From the MC Collection (陳氏家族集藏). Estimate:£4,546.35
