Chinese folk‑kiln blue‑and‑white porcelain folded‑rim dish, mid‑Ming period circa 1430‑1500 (Blank‑period influence). Painted in mixed cobalt pigment: majority local Shizi‑qing stone cobalt with minor residual imported Su‑ma‑li‑qing material, creating scattered dark speckles under glaze. Central interior features a freely hand‑painted shrimp motif enclosed within double circles. The broad folded rim carries scrolling cloud‑scroll border, a decorative tradition inherited from late‑Yuan and early‑Ming. Outer wall decorated with stylised separate lotus‑petal panels. The foot‑ring exhibits natural iron discoloration and wear from age and usage. Executed in a spontaneous, lively folk‑kiln painting style.
