Chromatic Balance in pink - Juan Jose Garay

Chromatic Balance in pink by Juan Jose Garay Painting 15.7 x 19.7 :: Chromatic Balance in pink This abstract painting builds a composition of juxtaposed color blocks with textured gestural brushstrokes in a warm palette of ochres golds mustard orange magenta and touches of green contrasted with areas of white and black that provide breathing room and depth. The color planes overlap and collide like fragments of a chromatic map evoking the tradition of abstract expressionism and color field painting. The most striking element is a thick drip of fuchsia pink paint falling vertically from the upper center running down the canvas like a tear or liquid thread breaking the geometric structure with an organic spontaneous gesture. The heavily textured impasto-like paint surface adds physical relief throughout. :: Type: Painting Medium: Acrylic Style: Abstract Expressionism Subject: Abstract Width: 15.7 Height: 19.7 Depth: 2.4 Weight: 11.0231 lbs Framed: yes :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
