THE COLLECTION CONTRAHILO takes its name from that which advances in the opposite direction to the established weave. In the textile realm, going contrahilo means finding resistance; and on the philosophical plane, it implies questioning the structures that organize our perception of the world. The works in this collection are positioned precisely in that friction space, where order and chance, form and disruption, unity and fragment coexist without fully resolving. Through abstract compositions built with thread, volume, and color, the collection explores the idea that all reality is made of tensions rather than certainties. Each piece works as a negotiation between opposing forces, a cartography of imperfect links that defies any definitive reading. CONTRAHILO thus offers a view of existence as an unfinished fabric: a weave that only acquires meaning through that which contradicts it. THE AUTHOR Chus Galiano (1975) is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist with a strong pictorial vocation. His work is in collections around the world and is distinguished by its refined and vibrant use of color as the central language of communication. His approach is based on an intuitive and accessible palette, capable of generating immediate emotional connections with the viewer, as can be seen in his textile art pieces or paintings. Color and matter are key elements in the creative process, beyond the vehicle that transforms each piece into a stimulating and positive visual experience.
