Unframed A similar picture by Bellotti is recorded in the Chrysler Jr. Collection, New York. Condition Report: The canvas has been relined and presents a few areas of paint loss and damage along the edges, as well as an approximately 5 cm tear in the lower right corner. The surface is covered with a protective varnish. Examination under UV light reveals a few scattered areas of retouching in the darker pigments of the lady’s dress and in the shadowed areas of the skirt. A relatively large arched area of reinforcement and retouching is visible to the left of the cook’s arms, in the background. There is also an approximately 30 cm-long horizontal area of retouching in the lower left corner, which may correspond to the repair of an old tear. Overall, the canvas appears to have undergone recent restoration.
