Among the various program items, the appearance of Käthchen Godefroy-Renz (born 1840) is particularly noteworthy; the niece of the then "circus giant" Ernst Renz eloped in 1860 with the clown, daredevil, and circus director Louis Godefroy and married him against the will of the powerful uncle.
